Staying Inside

We, people, tend to always keep busy on weekdays. But now, with all this drama, one can’t find a thing to do at home! Since most of our lives are normally busted with school and work, it’s hard to adapt to this kind of life.

Once again, our fellow interviewees added some things that keep them occupied. Margarita, a bookworm, has said that good books are something that helps her keep busy on boring days. “It sucks me right in,” she stated. Dmitry, on the other hand, is happy to finally have some more family time with his family and also some more time to be alone. Before all of this pandemic began, not many families appreciated each other as much because they were all overloaded with work. Now, as they stay home, they can develop new bonds. But being alone is important too! Every person has to have their ‘me’ time.

Our interviewees were given a question, asking to list the pros and cons of staying inside all day. Dmitry said, “The good is that we can do a lot of things that were deemed unnecessary and postponed. People are social animals by the nature. If confined, they become hard to deal with and unpleasant.” The guy’s right, as when one gets cramped with another, peace isn’t forever. Aggression may level up. Margarita had a similar perspective. “A plus is that I can do all the chores I put off, and more. But a minus is that I’m not visiting my favorite places, such as the Mitsuwa Marketplace. It is a Japanese market and restaurant.” We all can relate, Margarita!

Anyways, hopefully you took something away from these articles. Until next time!
